Building easy habits... Earth, we love you!
"We all have one thing in common, and that's Earth."

I absolutely love Earth Day for multiple reasons other than the fact that I study weather every single day. One of the major reasons I love Earth Day is because I like to see everyone post these amazing and sometimes mundane pictures of earth in all its glory. The world is truly a fascinating place!
With that being said, nothing ruins a beautiful view more than those earth damaging impacts. Here are just a few super easy ways to build some brand new eco-friendly habits to your routine, and believe me, they are almost completely S-E-A-M-L-E-S-S. Some of this ideas actually sound quite fun.
Use metal straws (these are bomb).
Eat locally (YES! Just another reason to shop local).
Skip meat once a week ( or more if you don't particularly care for it).
Buy that $1 reusable shopping bag and USE IT (T.J. Maxx has really cute ones).
Add some pretty and air purifying plants to your home décor.
Hang clothes instead of drying them in the machine (this can also save you $$$).
Purchase that expensive coffee machine and make your signature drink from home.
Use your devices for notes instead of paper.
Shut down the computer at the end of your work day.
Switch those lightbulbs to LED or eco-friendly bulbs.
Do not turn lights on until necessary (this also saves you $$$).
Keep the door closed to air-conditions rooms (trap in the chill).
Believe it or not, use the dishwasher (make sure it's fully loaded first).
Buy cleaning supplies and toiletries in bulk.
Clean and declutter your home.
Swap plastic to go containers for glass ones (they even last longer).
Wash your clothes in cold water (some washers even have an "eco" option).
Pay your bills online.
Skip makeup days when possible.
Shop locally for farm fresh produce.
Don't forget to look up today. The sky has a way of reminding you that "everything will work out just fine."
Thanks friends,
